What happens
The Comic Weekly Man reads the funnies from Puck to a young girl named Honey, who says she is keeping her New Year's resolutions by not taking candy without asking. The comic strips follow: Hopalong Cassidy and his pals California and Lucky track a stolen herd of cattle to a canyon. Prince Valiant and the warrior Boltar face King Agua after Boltar defied his orders. Flash Gordon is left stranded in a flood on Mars. Donald Duck and Daisy go duck hunting on a frozen lake. Lewis and Clark meet a one-eyed Indian chief named Lebourn. Rusty Riley and Pete follow a suspected thief. Dagwood tries to go out for the evening and ends up working at the office, and Roy Rogers and Dolan Hawkins are trapped in a shack by rustlers. The reading stops at a cliffhanger in each strip.
A radio broadcast of the comic weekly reading, with strips set in the American West, medieval Britain, Mars, a frozen lake, the Missouri frontier and a suburban town.

Listen for: The Comic Weekly Man reading each comic strip aloud in turn, with the cliffhangers the strips leave at the end of each panel sequence.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
