What happens

The Comic Weekly Man reads the funny pages aloud to his young listeners, opening with February's holidays and the Valentine's Day and Washington's birthday comments. He introduces the Hopalong Cassidy strip, in which Hoppy and his pals California and Lucky chase rustlers who have stolen a herd at a canyon. Hoppy is knocked unconscious by a low branch while captive in a runaway buggy. Later strips follow Prince Valiant and his household, Donald Duck borrowing books from Daisy, Dagwood and Herb Woodley's home-repair mishaps, Roy Rogers trapped in a shack by rustlers, Flash Gordon floating unconscious in flood water, Lewis and Clark guided by the Indian maid Sakagawa, and Rusty Riley and Pete looked at as suspects after a robbery at Mr. Miles's house. Each strip ends on a cliffhanger.

Comic strips read aloud on a radio broadcast in February 1952, moving between the Old West, Arthurian Britain, a suburban neighborhood, the planet Mars, the American frontier, and a country estate.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
