What happens

The Comic Weekly Man reads the funnies from Puck the Comic Weekly to listeners, opening with a Halloween encounter with Little Miss Honey. He then reads the Beetle Bailey strip, in which Beetle tries to prove his work to his sergeant at an Army camp, and the start of Walt Disney's Ben and Me, in which the mouse Amos arrives in Philadelphia in the winter of 1745 and meets the printer Benjamin Franklin. Flash Gordon is also read, as Flash enters the city of Calisto, where the people are controlled by a voice. The program is broadcast in the series' comic-strip format, with each strip read aloud in turn.

A radio broadcast of comic strips read aloud, moving between an Army camp, Philadelphia in 1745, and the city of Calisto.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
