What happens

The Comic Weekly Man visits children to read the funnies from Puck the Comic Weekly, introducing Little Miss Honey and a series of comic strips. Beetle Bailey and his pal Killer wait out the hours at an army camp before getting weekend passes into a small country town. Roy Rogers and his inventor friend Cube face a rancher named Wasp Bascom, who has stolen a silent explosive. Blondie's husband Dagwood is caught in his bathroom by the neighborhood kids and then his boss, Mr. Dithers. The broadcast also includes Flash Gordon trapped in a cell, Rusty Riley, Donald Duck, and Uncle Remus stories. Each strip ends with a cliffhanger or a promise of the next installment.

An army camp and a small country town, a western range, a bathroom in a suburban home, and a rural Southern setting in the Uncle Remus story.

Characters: Comic Weekly Man, Little Miss Honey, Beetle Bailey, Killer, Roy Rogers, Cube, Wasp Bascom, Dagwood

Listen for: The Comic Weekly Man reading the funnies aloud, with sound effects and music cues.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
