What happens

The Comic Weekly Man, a cheerful host, reads the funny pages from Puck the Comic Weekly to a listening audience. The comic strips he reads include Hopalong Cassidy, where Hoppy pursues a fugitive after a robbery in Buckskin; Prince Valiant, where a young squire named Arf, who has lost a leg, struggles with his shattered dream of becoming a knight; Donald Duck, where Donald and his nephews wash car windshields at a drive-in theater; Dagwood and Blondie, where Dagwood battles a persistent wallet salesman; Roy Rogers, where Roy confronts a bandit who has stopped a train; Flash Gordon, where Flash and his companions are captured by the mad scientist Rock on the moon; and Dick's Adventures, where a Yankee aide must return a British major to his ship during the Revolution.

A radio program hosted by the Comic Weekly Man, with comic strip stories set in the American West, medieval Britain, a drive-in theater, a suburban home, a railroad, the moon, and Revolutionary-era New York.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
