What happens
The Comic Weekly Man, a jolly radio host, reads the funnies from Puck the Comic Weekly to a young listener, Little Miss Holly. In the Hopalong Cassidy strip, outlaw Sloat slips into the town of Buckskin, and Doc Wily sends Hoppy after him. Hoppy captures Sloat, but a shot kills him, and the shooter escapes on horseback while a decoy hat and coat are left behind. The strip ends on the chase. Other comics read include Prince Valiant, Donald Duck, Dagwood and Blondie, Roy Rogers, Flash Gordon, Dick's Adventures, and Rusty Riley.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
