What happens

The Comic Weekly Man reads Puck the Comic Weekly aloud to two young listeners, Little Miss Honey and the boys and girls at home. He reads a short strip about a Beetle Bailey, who is soaked by rain while trying to get aspirin at an army post, and about Peter Pan, where John and the Lost Boys in Neverland set out to find the Indians. He also reads Donald Duck's rainy-day errand for Daisy, Roy Rogers rescuing his friend Dolph from outlaws, and Flash Gordon landing on the moon and meeting a suspicious woman officer. Several strips are read in brief, with their story points told as they stand. The broadcast is a light, cheerful reading of the comics, with the Comic Weekly Man ending by promising to return next week.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
