What happens
The Comic Weekly Man reads comic strips aloud to his young listeners from the pages of Puck the Comic Weekly. He opens with a chat about schoolwork, then reads Beetle Bailey, where Beetle and Killer are kept at camp while others get passes to town, and a fire breaks out in the service club. Next comes Peter Pan, where Captain Hook leaves Peter a mysterious package set to blast him out of Neverland. The reading continues with Roy Rogers, Flash Gordon, Dagwood and Blondie, Donald Duck, Dick's Adventures and Rusty Riley, where Rusty and Miss Dooley are locked in a spring house by two crooks.

Listen for: The Comic Weekly Man reads a series of comic strips aloud, with a short bit of dialogue between the strips.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
