What happens

The Comic Weekly Man reads Puck the Comic Weekly to a young listener named Honey, who is anxious about the serials she follows. Hopalong Cassidy and his pals find a telegraph man and rescue him from the river, then set out to learn why mountain men are blocking the telegraph line. Flash Gordon battles a fire aboard the space platform while Martian forces watch from nearby. Prince Valiant returns to Camelot and is welcomed by the knights of the Round Table, and Dagwood and Blondie, Roy Rogers, Donald Duck, Dick's Adventures and Rusty Riley continue their storylines. The episode ends as Rusty overhears a conversation at the farm. Puck the Comic Weekly was read on the old-time-radio program Comic Weekly Man, first broadcast on August 26, 1951.

A radio program in which the Comic Weekly Man reads newspaper comic strips aloud, moving between several adventure stories set in the American West, outer space, medieval England, a suburban home and office, and a horse farm.

Characters: Comic-Weekly Man, Honey, Hopalong Cassidy, Ken, Topper, Flash Gordon, Dale, Dr. Ruff

Listen for: Honey's anxious reactions to each strip and the rapid switching between serial stories as the Comic Weekly Man reads them.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
