What happens

On their 15th anniversary in radio, George Burns and Gracie Allen reminisce about how they got started in show business. Gracie recalls their first Broadway audition with Al Jolson, who once held George back from singing. Later, the couple plan to invite Jolson onto their program so George can sing a duet and get his revenge on him. The Burns and Allen radio show, sponsored by Maxwell House coffee, aired on February 20, 1947 on CBS and NBC Radio, starring George Burns and Gracie Allen with Meredith Willson, Bea Benaderet and Mel Blanc.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
