What happens
Gracie Allen orders a booklet from the Successful Marriage Institute on keeping her husband happy, and she discusses it by telephone with her friend Tootsie Saguo. Gracie then tries out the booklet's advice on George Burns, shifting between flirtation, a helpless-child routine, and questions about his work. Her efforts keep producing odd and confused results, and George and their friends try to make sense of her behavior. The story is played for comedy in the Burns and Allen series, which aired on CBS and NBC Radio on October 13, 1942, with Gracie Allen, Bea Benaderet, Meredith Willson and Mel Blanc in the cast.

Characters: Gracie Allen, George Burns, Tootsie Saguo, Bill Goodwin, Jimmy Cash
Listen for: Gracie's efforts to follow the marriage booklet's advice and George's puzzled reactions to them.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
