What happens

George and Gracie Burns are forced to move out of their house after their landlord sells it, and they pack their belongings in preparation for the move to a new home. During the packing, Gracie insists on keeping an old family chair, while George wants to leave it behind. Their friend Bill Goodwin visits and turns down an offer to return to radio, and the couple learns that their new house is still occupied by the previous tenant. Gracie meets their new neighbor, musician Meredith Wilson, who hopes to get work on the Burns program.

The Burns home, packed up for a move, and then their new house on North Camden, Beverly Hills.

Characters: George Burns, Gracie Allen, Bill Goodwin, Meredith Wilson

Listen for: Gracie's wordplay with George's attempts to explain the situation, and the tenant problem at the new house.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
