What happens
Gracie Allen tries to hide a stack of first-of-the-month bills and a costly dress from her husband George Burns, telling one tall tale after another to explain them. The episode is part of the Burns and Allen series and originally aired on April 4, 1946, with Gracie Allen, Bea Benaderet, Meredith Willson and Mel Blanc in the cast, on CBS and NBC Radio.

Listen for: Gracie's increasingly outlandish excuses and George's growing exasperation as he tries to get the truth out of her.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
