What happens
Gracie Allen tries to help her neighbors when she hears that Adolphe Menjou's wife, Vera Tisdale, may be leaving him over another woman. Gracie visits the Menjous and then Menjou at the studio, offering reassurance that becomes increasingly tangled. Her well-meaning visits cause confusion and suspicion between the couples, and her husband George Burns and their cleaning woman Mrs. Bundy are drawn into the misunderstanding. The episode is a comedy from the Burns and Allen series, broadcast on February 8, 1944, with Gracie Allen, Bea Benaderet, Meredith Willson and Mel Blanc in the leading parts. The story is shaped around mistaken assumptions and a series of comic misunderstandings between the characters.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
