What happens

Gracie Allen and George Burns host her Uncle John, a visitor who has overstayed his welcome at the Burns home. George finds him a nuisance and wants him gone, while Gracie tries to make peace between them. In an effort to win George's affection for her uncle, Gracie attempts to play up George's tough, Humphrey Bogart-style persona. Meanwhile, Gracie arranges for Uncle John to rent a house next door, but complications soon arise with the neighbors and the real estate arrangements. The episode is part of the Burns and Allen radio series, which aired on CBS and NBC in 1945. Lead actors include Gracie Allen, Bea Benaderet, Meredith Willson and Mel Blanc.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
