What happens
Gracie Allen, running for president in a mock campaign, takes the Wisconsin primary as a joke and chats with her husband George Burns in their home. Their friends Ray Noble, Frank Parker and Truman Bradley drop in and get caught up in the silly comedy. Gracie's ailing kangaroo Laura gives the family cause for worry, and a census taker arrives to ask Gracie questions. The sponsor, Heinz honey and almond cream, is promoted throughout. This is the Burns and Allen series, from April 10, 1940, starring Gracie Allen and George Burns.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
