What happens

George Burns and Gracie Allen run a comedy program filled with mix-ups, starting with George's loud, ill-fitting suit that friends and a tailor's customers mock. George and Gracie spar with their friends Frank Parker, Ray Noble, Truman Bradley and Don Wilson, while Gracie talks about running for president. Ray works on a poem for Gracie, and the show breaks off between their comic scenes and sponsor messages for Hinds Honey and Almond Cream. The series ran on CBS and NBC Radio, and this episode aired on April 17, 1940, with Gracie Allen and George Burns leading the cast.

A comedy radio program with the Burns and Allen household and friends, including a bus conductor, a tailor and a census enumerator.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
