What happens
Gracie Allen wants her husband George Burns to replace Clark Gable in the film version of The Hucksters, a novel about the radio business. George insists Gable is set for the part and refuses to pursue it. Gracie schemes through her Beverly Hills Uplift Society, sending club members to flatter George by telling him he looks like Gable. Their attempts to persuade him, and the club's internal squabbles, unfold through a series of comic mix-ups. The episode is the second part of the story and is broadcast on the Burns and Allen series, originally aired October 24, 1946, with Gracie Allen and George Burns in the leads, alongside Bea Benaderet and Mel Blanc.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
