What happens
George Burns and Gracie Allen star in this 1949 episode of their long-running comedy series, which aired on CBS and NBC Radio on February 24, 1949. Gracie becomes convinced by a handwriting analyst that George should be a doctor, and she sets out to make it happen. She tells George he has a surgeon's hands and tries to find him a place to practice. Her plans lead her to a hospital and an experimental laboratory, where confusion over a volunteer for a test serum follows. Gracie's enthusiasm keeps pushing the situation further, and George is caught between her schemes and his own career.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
