What happens
Gracie Allen learns from the postman that Meredith Wilson, the shy musician, is to be married, and she and George Burns set out to help him with his courtship. The episode is from the Burns and Allen series, first broadcast on October 18, 1945, with Gracie Allen and Bea Benaderet among the cast; Meredith Wilson and his orchestra provide the music. The story is a light comedy about romantic advice given to a bashful man.
The Burns house and the neighborhood around it, with a visit to a dime store ribbon counter.

Listen for: Gracie's ever-changing romantic advice to Meredith, and the mix-up when she arranges his dinner date.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
