What happens
George and Gracie Burns are new in their neighborhood and find that local tradesmen, including the milkman, butcher and laundryman, will only serve their old customers. Gracie tries to get money from George for a bargain sale at the Army supply center, while Meredith Wilson asks Gracie for dating advice. The Burns' domestic troubles and a mix-up over an order of nylons drive much of the episode. This is the Burns and Allen radio program, broadcast on October 4, 1945 on CBS and NBC Radio, sponsored by Maxwell House Coffee, with Gracie Allen and George Burns in the leading roles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
