What happens
Burns and Allen is a 1936 radio comedy episode in which George Burns and Gracie Allen host their program, joined by Tony Martin, Henry King and Mel Blanc. The show opens with a debate between George and Henry over mustaches, which leads to Henry's romantic exploits with older women. Tony arrives late to the broadcast, and Gracie nearly misses his entrance, prompting George to scold him. Director Frank Mitchell is introduced, and the cast joins in a series of comic exchanges, including a rehearsal of a love scene and George coaching others on delivery and timing. The transcript ends partway through the program.

Characters: George Burns, Gracie Allen, Tony Martin, Henry King, Frank Mitchell, Ken
Listen for: Gracie's literal-minded remarks, George's exasperated replies, and the running joke about mustaches and Henry's dates.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
