What happens

George Burns and Gracie Allen present a comedy hour in which the stars and their cast mix jokes, songs and sponsor plugs. Gracie bungles her way through a sound-effects gag, and the cast shares a series of silly title changes for a planned play. Later the program turns to a Minneapolis visitor, Joyce Moore, who arrives to name two lakes after the couple. The cast then performs a playful western skit titled Gold Rush Gracie, in which Gracie must marry a tough man by five o'clock to keep her goldmine. The episode aired on CBS and NBC Radio on August 12, 1940.

A Hollywood radio studio, then a frontier dance hall in the old West.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
