What happens
George Burns is convinced he has no place in television, and his wife Gracie Allen sets out to change his mind. Gracie proposes a plan to convince him he has sex appeal, and George is worried about his prospects on the new medium. Their friend Bill Goodwin adds to the banter at a local bar, and the story turns to Marie McDonald, a movie star who has been chasing an introduction to the golden-voiced announcer of the Maxwell House Coffee program. This is an episode of the Burns and Allen radio series, first broadcast on May 12, 1949, on CBS and NBC Radio, with Gracie Allen and Bea Benaderet among the cast.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
