What happens

Detective Danny Clover investigates the murder of Tom Keeler, a man found shot twice in a cheap hotel room—killed by two different caliber bullets. The investigation leads from the hotel to a bank and to connections with George Webber, a lawyer whose partner Paul Marley claims Webber has been on Fire Island since the day before yesterday.

New York City, primarily Broadway and the surrounding areas including a hotel on West 25th Street, the Great Northern National Bank, and a law office in a building with suite twelve.

Characters: Detective Danny Clover, Dr. Cinsky, Randy Quantrell, Paul Marley, George Webber

Listen for: The distinctive hard-boiled narration by Detective Clover describing the Broadway crime beat and the mysterious circumstances surrounding the two bullets from different guns used to kill Tom Keeler.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
