What happens

Detective Danny Clover investigates the murder of Ruth Shea, a woman found shot dead near the river. Her husband Robert Shay is notified at the morgue and insists he did not kill her, claiming to have worshiped her. When an old photograph reveals Ruth was once a beautiful socialite, a mysterious woman named Diner Martin calls to offer information about who may have killed her.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
