What happens

Detective Clover investigates the murder of a young boy found dead in Central Park near the lake at 110th Street. A distinctive antique ring found on the body leads him to the Garland family, where he learns the ring once belonged to the deceased Mrs. Renee Garland and was left to her son Earl. As Clover pursues leads and questions suspects, including the mysterious Nagle who frequents the park, the case begins to reveal connections between the dead boy and the troubled Garland household.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
