What happens
Detective Danny Clover investigates the murder of Pablo Molari, a young man found dead outside the Hudson Club on a Manhattan side street. The victim was beaten to death, and Clover's questioning of club president Johnny Hammett and doorman Toby Nelson reveals that Pablo had just been initiated into the club the previous night. Clover's inquiries lead him to Paula Chopak, a young woman connected to the club, who appears reluctant to speak with him despite her mother's insistence that she has something important to tell the police.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
