What happens

Detective Danny Clover receives an urgent call from Max Wendell, a man rehabilitated from his past as a drug addict. When Clover arrives at Wendell's shop on 39th Street, a gunman shoots and kills Wendell before fleeing, forcing Clover to fire at the attacker. The investigation reveals a stolen shipment of narcotics worth $100,000 from the Acme Pharmaceutical Company and a dead guard, with suspicion falling on delivery driver Wilbur Douglas.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
