The case leads him to Lloyd Keeler, a promising young football player connected to the victim, but complications arise when Lloyd himself is found murdered in an alley just hours later.
A college campus and surrounding city during late November, including the campus grounds, fraternity house, police headquarters, Don Davie's home, and Johnny Harris's plant store.
Characters: Detective Danny Clover, Grace Cullen, Lloyd Keeler, Don Davie, Claire Davie, Johnny Harris, Coach Red Price, Maureen Hill
Listen for: The detective's methodical questioning of suspects including the football coach, an old college graduate and his wealthy wife, and a former teammate; revelations about Lloyd's relationship with the victim and with the man who sponsored his education; the final confession that untangles the motives behind both murders.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
