What happens
A man riding a sightseeing bus witnesses a murder through a window—a woman being strangled in an apartment near 35th Street and 1st Avenue. Detective Danny Voker investigates and discovers the victim is Ann Cornell, an eighteen-year-old piano student from Iowa who came to the city a month ago to study at a music school. As Voker questions those who knew her, he begins piecing together the circumstances of her death.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
