What happens
Dan Holiday receives a letter from Mrs. Catherine Daly, who believes her son Arthur, a newspaper reporter, was murdered in a saloon brawl rather than killed in a drunken fight as the police concluded. Holiday investigates the case, visiting the mother, consulting with Lieutenant Kling at the police department, and heading to the River View bar where Arthur died. Someone begins following Holiday as he pursues the truth.
A city with a newspaper office, police department, and a seedy neighborhood along River Street featuring the River View bar.
Characters: Dan Holiday, Mrs. Catherine Daly, Susie, Lieutenant Kling, Arthur Daly, bartender at River View
Listen for: Holiday's investigation into whether Arthur Daly's death was murder or accident, the bartender's evasive responses, and the mysterious figure who begins tailing Holiday.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
