What happens

Two people are shot dead at exactly midnight, twenty miles apart, but ballistics prove both bullets came from the same gun—an impossible crime that baffles the police. Boston Blackie investigates the connection between the victims: Carl Johnson, a man the police suspect was killed by someone named Bill King, and Sarah Adams, a former burlesque queen. As Blackie digs into their backgrounds, he uncovers a web of relationships and motives that might explain how one gun could kill two people simultaneously.

A city with a nightclub or theater district; police headquarters; various locations twenty miles apart where the murders occur.

Characters: Boston Blackie, Inspector Faraday, Bill King, Carl Johnson, Sarah Adams, Mac

Listen for: The clever premise of how a single gun fired at midnight could kill two people twenty miles away at the exact same time, and Blackie's investigation into the relationships between the victims and Bill King.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
