What happens
A valuable first edition of a rare book goes missing from the city library when its attendant suddenly collapses from knockout drops. Boston Blackie investigates when a young woman named Vivian Peterson is found alone in the vault, and suspicion falls on her connection to Harold Benson, a rare book dealer. The case takes a darker turn when Benson is found murdered.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
