What happens

Boston Blackie visits a jewelry store and accidentally gives a password for stolen goods by joking about buying a expensive necklace for a dime. The jeweler, John Reynolds, realizes his mistake and calls his wife in a panic, mentioning a letter that will explain everything to the police. Reynolds is found dead, the letter has disappeared, and Blackie must investigate whether Reynolds was a fence operating a stolen jewelry ring.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
