What happens
Boston Blackie reads about textile manufacturer Ralph Burton's apparent suicide and dismisses it as straightforward. When creditor Charlie Kingston visits Blackie and expresses guilt over pressuring Burton, he asks Blackie to investigate whether Burton's death was truly suicide. Despite Inspector Faraday's certainty and a handwriting expert's confirmation of the suicide note's authenticity, Blackie decides to reopen the case against the inspector's orders.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
