What happens
Ed Jeffers runs a sales firm that, according to Inspector Faraday, is really a murder-for-hire operation, and Boston Blackie sets out to expose it. Faraday has no bodies and no proof for the disappearances of several men. Blackie quarrels publicly with wealthy client John Gardner after Gardner files a complaint against him, and soon Jeffers' agents turn their attention to Blackie himself. Mary Lane is with Blackie through these events. The episode is part of the Boston Blackie series, first heard on NBC in 1944 and syndicated by Ziv, and it stars Chester Morris, with Richard Lane and Jan Miner in supporting roles.
A city where a sales firm run by Ed Jeffers operates, with police headquarters, an apartment, and a fashionable restaurant.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
