What happens
When construction contractor Dynamite Thompson is shot dead in his office, suspicion falls on rival contractor Jack Morgan, with whom Thompson had fought bitterly over underbid contracts. Morgan claims he has an alibi—he was with millionaire financiers Sloane and Palmer. But when those two are found murdered in a car pushed over a ravine, Morgan loses his alibi and becomes the prime suspect, while another contractor, Paul Brent, flees the scene.
The city, including construction sites, police headquarters, Brent's office, and suburban areas.
Characters: Boston Blackie, Dynamite Thompson, Jack Morgan, Paul Brent, Inspector Farraday, Sloane, Palmer, Waxy
Listen for: A clever case of murder solved through careful detective work and a secretary's testimony about an absent boss and an unanswered telephone—revealing that the real killer is the one who had the most to lose.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
