What happens

Boston Blackie and his companion Charlie Kingston go to a bank to cash a twenty-thousand-dollar check, and the money soon becomes the focus of trouble. Kingston later returns to a building where he had been to a gambling club on an upper floor, and Blackie goes there with him. Their search for the money leads them to a locked, dusty warehouse-like room where a man has been found dead. Inspector Matthews of the police brings the case to Frankie, and the transcript shows gamblers, a missing elevator floor, and a rising sense of danger. This recap covers only the early part of the episode. The series is Boston Blackie, first broadcast January 5, 1949, starring Chester Morris and Richard Lane.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
