What happens

Bobby Rogers faces execution tonight for the murder of his wife, but Boston Blackie believes him innocent. With only hours to spare, Blackie races to uncover evidence that will convince Judge Waterbury to stop the execution, discovering that a man named Harry Johnson once tried to provide an alibi for Rogers but never testified.

Characters: Boston Blackie, Bobby Rogers, Judge Waterbury, Inspector Faraday, Harry Johnson, Mrs. Johnson, Mary West, The Warden

Listen for: The ticking clock that serves as a constant reminder of the countdown to the execution; the revelation that the real killer is Harry Johnson's wife; the fake newspaper headline printed to trick Johnson into confessing.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
