What happens
Boston Blackie is approached by elderly Mrs. Van Devere with an unusual request: she wants him to steal a valuable family heirloom necklace from her own safe so she can sell the diamonds and donate the proceeds to charity, since the necklace cannot be legally sold or given away. Blackie agrees to help with the theft, but when Inspector Faraday arrives to investigate the robbery, complications arise.
Boston; Mrs. Van Devere's home and Inspector Faraday's office
Characters: Boston Blackie, Mrs. Van Devere, Inspector Faraday, Mary, Maggie
Listen for: A clever theft conducted for charitable purposes, and the complications that follow when the police investigate the missing necklace.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
