What happens
Boston Blackie is arrested for the murder of John Cummings when a witness identifies his picture, though he claims he was in Central City at the time. Inspector Faraday locks him up to handle the case alone, but unknown to the police, criminals travel to Central City to silence the hotel clerk who can verify Blackie's alibi.
A police station and jail, with scenes at the Rex Hotel in Central City.
Characters: Boston Blackie, Inspector Faraday, Mary, Lila, Sergeant Matthews, William, Eddie Manton, Spoke
Listen for: Blackie's claims of innocence and his alibi at the hotel; the criminals' plot to prevent the truth from coming out; Mary trying to help Blackie prove where he was.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
