What happens
Edward Jones, an antique dealer who travels often, returns from a trip to find his wife Anne has been gone, and reunites with her. After Anne dies in the bathtub, Jones remarries, and his new wife Libby is also found drowned in a warm bath. Scotland Yard, prompted by a letter from a concerned citizen, begins investigating the two deaths and the wills and insurance payouts that connect them. The series is The Black Museum, and the episode is presented as part of a dramatized account of crimes linked to objects in Scotland Yard's collection.
London and a middle-sized city in England, around 1910, including a garden, a house and a courtroom.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
