What happens

Confidential investigator Barry Craig encounters a distraught woman named Mrs. Wilson who claims she checked into the Hotel Meeker with her husband that afternoon, but the hotel staff denies any record of them. When Craig investigates the room she describes, he discovers the furnishings don't match her account—until he finds evidence that someone has deliberately altered the room's appearance. Craig takes a room at the hotel to investigate further, uncovering a dangerous conspiracy involving the clerk and a missing person.

New York City, primarily the Hotel Meeker and surrounding streets, late evening around 10:30 PM

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
