The New Roy Rogers Radio Show! Yes folks, it's the New Roy Rogers Radio Show for the whole family! Adventure, suspense, history, and music! Starring Roy Rogers, King of the Cowboys, and Day Eleven, Queen of the West, with Pat Brady, the Mellowmen, and an all-star cast.

And now here they are to greet you with a song in the story. There's light news, there's thunder, there's wind and rain, stampede. Hiya folks, greetings to the whole family. We're back again with a song and a story.

The song is called Stampede, and it really fits the story we're going to tell you tonight. We've been down to Texas Way, shooting some scenes for a picture, and on our way back, we stopped to visit a friend of Pat by the name of Nate Medway.

Wake, Nate and his father owned the Medwick branch. And it sure was a pretty sight. It was just the time of the year when the Texas blue bonnets are in full bloom, and Dale and Pat and me had ridden out on the reins to take a look at them.

Dale had dismounted and was busy picking some of the flowers when we heard the sound in the distance. I'd heard that same sound once before, a long time ago. And believe me, once you've heard it, you can never forget it.

It's as frightening as the rumble of an earthquake and just as terrifying. It's the sound of a cattle stampede. thousands of flying hooves thundering across the plains. We turned and looked at the cloud of dust rising rapidly a short port of a mile away and then we saw it. Right in front of the stampeding cattle was a lone writer.
