(xx) Stolen Diamonds

The man called X. He is the man who crosses the ocean as readily as you were I crossed town. He is the man who travels today as you and I will travel tomorrow. He is the man who fights today's war in his unique fashion so that tomorrow's peace will make the world a neighborhood for us all. He is the man called X.

Tonight Mr. X drops in on an adventure involving some hot jewelry, a hotter state, and an extremely hot Senorita. But at the moment, he's getting a rather cold blast from his fiancé Nancy Bessington. There is lunch.

Now look, him. Do you think I like the prospect of being married to a... human helicopter? Nancy, I object. I've never been known to harbor in mid-air. Don't you realize, Darvington, all this chasing around all over the world, grabbing a sandwich on the run and missing your sleeves and...

I golly you're right, darling. What I need is to be completely an utterly bored. I have some friends up on Cape Cod and they're the dullest people in the world. Really? Sounds like heaven. We must visit them sometime.

We are going to visit them this weekend. This weekend? I have the tickets and we're flying up this afternoon. So all the rain, the people are expecting us so you can't back out now. I can't see or an angel, but it's impossible.

I have to... I have to... I have to... I have to see a jeweler. Oh. About some diamonds. Oh, and darlin'. For the chief. Chief. You're just a routine inquiry. Oh, you two going steady now?

Pure Lipatonic. How long would it be? Oh, a couple of hours, I should say. Oh, then good. Then I'll fly up and go. Oh, then I'll fly up and go. Oh, then I'll fly up and go.
