the Herald Perry Show. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And now, the Perry, as Honest Herald the Homemaker. Well, it's midnight in the little town of Melrose Springs, and all its good citizens are sound asleep, including the cat in the Butcher Shop window.

Looking into the little house on 8th Avenue, we find the town's most popular radio figure, Honest Herald the Homemaker, gently snoring. And evidently having a very pleasant dream. Yeah. Oh. Here, ha! Here, we'll wake up.

Open's eyes, open's eyes. Mother! Mother! What's the matter? I think there is somebody in our cellar. What? I heard strange noises down there. You did? Well, I'll go down and have a look. First thing in the morning.

Good night, mother. Good girl. It might be a burglar in the cellar. Burglar? Well, what the heck? Nothing valuable for him to steal down there, except my Rudy Valley records. Good girl. Good girl. Harold, don't you think you ought to get up and take a look?

Look. Well, all right, mother. You ought to have a weapon, Harold. I'll go out in the kitchen and get the cedar muck. Yeah, good idea. Hurry now. Hmm. Maybe it's just mother's imagination. I hope.

Mmm, guess I'll have to get up though. Eee, floor is cold. Man, I wear my slippers. Yeah, just feel around for them, huh? Here's one slipper. Mmm, fits kind of tight. It's got crumbs in it.

Oh, it's my box of girl Scott cookies. Ah, here they are. I'm slipping to my robe now. Are you ready, Harold? Yes, Mother, I'm coming. Come on. Now we'll go to the cellar door in Lissie.

All right, now let's tiptoe. That rustling noise. What is it? Me, you put too much starch in my pajamas again. Here's the cellar door. Let's listen. I don't hear anything. Must have been your imagination, Mother.
