Runyon 4x-xx-xx ep26 Baseball Hattie

The Damon Runyon Theatre. Once again, the Damon Runyon Theatre brings you another story by the master storyteller, Damon Runyon, and this one, Baseball Heavy. I'll tell it to you, here is Broadway. Thanks. It is one afternoon in early spring.

The baseball season is just underway, and I am sitting behind third base at the Polo Grounds, waiting for the Giants to carve up a few Brooklyn's when I feel somebody sit down next to me.

I look over and who is it but I'm on Stacy. I do not like this citizen, but he pays his way in so there's nothing I can do about it. Then he speaks to me.

Great day for a ball game, huh, Broadway? Yeah, for a ball game. Thirty thousand people here and you sit down next to me. Don't like me, do you? You are not my idea of a boom companion.

Now or ever? Yeah, lots of people aren't like me. Why should you be there so long, Amma? Sure, sir. Broadway. I gotta get outta here. My sentiment's exactly. You are a mind reader. I can't be her, not after all these years.

Well, you're talking about her. You look like you see a ghost. Yeah, ghost. Broadway, I see her on. If I see you first, you will have to hunt. Let me throw a hand. With that, Arman takes the win like a million gen-dombs are after.

I look around to see what makes him decide not to stay. And I see her. First, I do not believe her. But there she is. Baseball had it. sitting at her old place behind the giant stugger.

Now, my arm unblows at the sight of her is quite a storm, which I will tell you in a minute. And now back to the Damon Runyon Theatre and the famous story, Baseball Hattie. Mmm!
