Desertion

Tarzan and the diamond of our share. Tarzan and his party are encamped on the bank of a tributary of the Ubangi River. Behind them on the trail are our tantome and lal tusk.

They are after a map which Helen Gregory has given to Tarzan for safe keeping. Before Tarzan and his friends are able to cross the river, a jungle storm breaks. The tornado whips through the forest with a titanic, elemental fury.

Great trees, men and snap-pipes slender pipe stem. The heavens are banked with fantasticly shaped black clouds that send down solid sheets of water. The deafening crash and roll of thunder combined with the vangy, howl of the wind.

The convention of sound is mad me. In their tent, Helen, Quagra and Gregory managed to watch down all as he beers out into the blackness. Suddenly a terrific bellowing blast! The tent broke snap and the horror crashed to the ground beneath a letting weight of clinging soap can.

This side. I pull the canvas back with the wind. Now.

Punch more, person. Now pull. Are you? All right, Wolf. Let's go. We'll have them out. Where is she? Where is Elaine?

Right here. We're in and down the road. Is she? In. Let me see. Elaine. Elaine. It is down the road. Oh, no, no. We're leaving this place. The river is almost over the banks. We must get to higher ground.

Don't carry hell. No, no, no. You should move free. I shall carry her. All right. Well, that hill over there, back from the river. See? Yeah, I see. Leave them straight to it. And keep an eye on Mark Van Gregory.
