This week, hide out. For our recent programs, we told you the story of the liberation of the American civilian Internies in the Philippines. Now we're going to tell you the story of a courageous woman correspondent who refused to give in to the Jets.
Instead, she fled Manila in the wake of the advancing enemy and lived in the hills of Luzon, the loyal Filipino guerrillas. Her name, Doris Johnston. There is not much time, Miss Justice. You are sure you want to go with us?
I'm ready, Manuel. You're crazy, Doris. Stay with us in Manila. No, Bill. I know what I'm doing. But you're a woman, Doris. Hiding out in the mountains is all right for a man. We must hurry.
Miss Justin, get closer. Yes, Manuel. Listen, Bill. I saw what the Jeff did to Henkow in 1938. And I know what they're going to do to Manila. I'll take the hill. I'll lock Doris. Please, hurry.
So long, Bill, and good luck. Come on, Manuel. Doris. Doris, come back. Come back. Who is this woman? Who is she? Her papers give name as Doris Johnson, news reporter. Doris Johnson reporter. Where's Gwen? She escaped in Hills January 2, 1942, with a Filipino named Manuel Rófár.
We must find out you're here. Scow in Hills, O'Rouzaan. This woman is dangerous to the front. We will find her. Don't worry. Already our Scots are calling the years of the dawn. How much farther can you help them?
No time is Johnson. Job's coming. We must hurry. Hurry, then. Wait. What? Wait. Get behind rock. Where? Friend. Keep your love. Job's gone. Now more down the valley. There he is. You got him anyway.
